The case is taken up today before the National Lok Adalat. The parties are present before the Lok Adalat through V.C. and are duly identified by their respective counsel. Before the Lok Adalat, the parties have agreed to settle the matter and have arrived at a compromise. The terms of the compromise are as follows: “The present case arises out of the matrimonial dispute. It was filed consequently in lieu of troubles in the matrimonial life. Respondent No. 2 is the husband of Applicant No. 3. A compounding application has been filed by the parties on 27.10.2025 pertaining to Criminal Case No. 332 of 2018, State v/s Nikhil Agarwal & Ors. u/s 325, 323, 504, 506, 427 & 120-B of IPC. All Applicants & Respondent No. 2 appeared through V.C. and have stated they do not wish to pursue the proceedings against each other and end all their disputes on the following terms & conditions: 1. Applicant No. 3 (Neha Agarwal) & Respondent No. 2 are husband and wife. They have decided to live separately and have filed Section 13-B for Mutual Divorce. 2. The parties have agreed to withdraw all pending cases against each other. 3. The Applicant No. 3 has demanded no alimony in the said compromise. Applicants (through VC) are identified by Advocate Dhruv Chandra. Respondent No. 2 is identified by Advocate Ashwani Taphiyal.” The terms of the compromise have been recorded in a separate compromise sheet which shall form part of the order. The compounding application (IA No. 13160 of 2025) has been preferred by the parties and, in view of the settlement arrived at between them, the compounding application is allowed. Consequently, the misc. application is allowed, and the impugned Chargesheet dated 4.12.2017, Summoning Order dated 15.1.2018 and passed by Ld. 1st Uper Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun in Criminal Case No. 332 of 2018 State versus Nikhil Agarwal & Others U/s 385,323,504,506,427 & 120-B of IPC along with proceedings of the case, are hereby set aside qua the applicant Nos. 1 to 3 only.
