For Petitioner(s): Mr.V.Govardhanan for M/s.Row And Reddy For Respondent(s): Mr.L.Gokulraj, GA for R.1 to R.4 ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “direction to the respondents No.2 to 4 to consider and post the petitioner as Staff Nurse on transfer in the Government Medical college Hospital vellore, or in ESI Dispensary, vellore or in Government Pentland Hospital Vellore by considering her family circumstances as mentioned in the representation dt.8.4.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Honble court.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as a Staff Nurse on consolidated basis on 30.10.2015 pursuant to the notification issued by the Medical Recruitment Board and was initially posted at Ranipet Municipal Dispensary, Vellore. Subsequently, she was transferred on contract basis and later her services were regularised with effect from 14.03.2024, pursuant to https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 27178 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 6 which she was posted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai and thereafter deputed to Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, Egmore, Chennai. 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that, due to her posting at Chennai, she is unable to take care of her minor children and aged parents, who are residing at Vellore. She also suffers from various health issues, including arthritis, due to an earlier road accident. Therefore, considering her family circumstances and medical condition, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 08.04.2026 requesting transfer to any Government Medical College Hospital/ESI Dispensary/Government Hospital at Vellore. Since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, to date, the petitioner is before this Court. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records. By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the matter was taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 5. Considering the relief sought by the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 27178 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 6 08.04.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
