The instant writ petition has been preferred by the petitioners seeking the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ , order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned FIR lodged by the respondent no. 3 on 30.04.2026 registered as FIR No. 394 of 2026 for the offences punishable under Section 3/5/11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Police Station Laksar District Haridwar against the petitioners (contained as Annexure No. 1 to the writ petition) qua the petitioners. From Page No. 11 to 18. (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 1 and 2 not to arrest the petitioner and not take any coercive measure against the petitioners in pursuance to the impugned FIR dated 30.04.2026 registered as FIR No. 394 of 2026 for the offences punishable under Section 3/5/11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007 Police Station Laksar District Haridwar (contained as Annexure No. 1 to the writ) From page no. 11 to 18. 4. After arguing at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is ready to surrender before the court concerned, however, some protection may be given to him till he surrenders. 5. The State counsel has no objection. 6. In such view of the matter, instant writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned on or before 17.06.2026.
