The case of the prosecution is that it is the case of digital arrest. A sum of Rs.1.71 crores and 45 sovereigns of gold were extorted from the senior citizens on the pretext of digital arrest. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. He further submitted that there is no specific overt act against this petitioner. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioner. 4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent Police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that Rs.1.71 crores and 45 sovereigns of gold were extorted from the senior citizens on the pretext of digital arrest. 5. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record. 6.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case; taking note of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side); as rightly contended by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), through this petitioner 3000 SIM cards were recovered. In such view of the serious allegation against this petitioner, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, this Court is of the firm view that it is too premature to consider the bail application at this stage. 7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 21-07-2026 SHL To:
