1. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:-
“10.1 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or direction to the Respondents No. 1, 2, 3 & 4 to decide the representation of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment to the daughter of the petitioner and deceased Govt. employee, namely Ms. Jagriti Shukla, on the post of Assistant Grade - III. 10.2 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to make any other order that may be deemed fit and just in the facts and circumstances. ”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of petitioner died-in-harness and therefore, she had submitted an application for grant of compassionate appointment along with her claim for grant of Gratuity and pension. Claim of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment before the Respondent No. 3/Collector has been forwarded to the Respondent No. 4 on 24.12.2025, however, till date Respondent No. 4 has not taken any decision upon the claim of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment and therefore, direction be issued to the Respondent No. 4 to take decision on the representation submitted by the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment at the earliest within specified time frame.
3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the Respondents/State would submit that as petitioner is not pressing this writ petition on merits and is only seeking a direction to the Respondent No. 4 to consider and take decision on the representation, he is having no objection to the limited prayer.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents placed on record.

On due consideration of the submission of counsel for the respective parties, facts and circumstances of the case, nature of grievance raised by the petitioner, without entering into the merits of the claim of petitioner, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing the Respondent No. 4 to consider and take decision on the representation for grant of compassionate appointment submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of order. It is ordered accordingly.
6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands
