Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a physical copy of TSLR patta, pertaining to the subject land, was already issued in favour of the petitioner. Now, the petitioner had filed an application for including the petitioner’s name in the said patta by way of uploading and for issuance of computerized form of the same. However, the said application was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition. 5. In reply, the learned Government’s counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that as per the revenue records, the subject land falls under the category of Government land, due to which, the respondents are not in a position to consider the petitioner’s request and issue computerized form of TSLR Patta. Hence, she requests this Court to pass appropriate orders. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26577 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 6 6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record. 7. In the case on hand, a physical copy of TSLR patta, pertaining to the subject land, was already issued in favour of the petitioner. Now, the petitioner had filed an application for issuance of computerised form of the said TSLR Patta by way of uploading the petitioner’s name in that patta. However, the said application was not at all considered by the respondent till date. 8. On the other hand, according to the respondents, as per the revenue records, the subject land falls under the category of Government land and hence, they are not in a position to consider the petitioner’s request and issue computerised form of TSLR Patta. 9. Upon perusal of records, it is clear that the respondent had already issued TSLR Patta, pertaining to the subject land, in favour of the petitioner. Having issued the same, now, the official respondents are refusing to consider the petitioner’s request for issuance of computerised TSLR patta by citing the reason that the revenue records shows that the subject land is a Government land, which is not proper. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26577 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 6 10. After all, the only request of the petitioner is for issuance of computerised patta, pertaining to the subject property, that too, based on the physical copy of TSLR patta, which was already issued in favour of the petitioner. In such case, there will not be any impediment for the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation for issuance of computerised patta. In spite of the same, the petitioner’s representation dated 21.10.2024 was not at all considered by the respondents for a period of around 2 years, which is unacceptable. 11. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 21.10.2024 along with all the documentary evidences, and issue TSLR Patta in accordance with law, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 12. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost. 13-07-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No nsa To 1.
