CRL OP No. 19042 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This Criminal Original Petition seeks to quash the FIR in Crime No.2 of 2025 on the file of the 1st respondent Police for alleged offences under Sections 120B, 465, 468, 471, 420 of IPC r/w. 3, 5 of Emblems & Name (Prev. of Improper Use) Act, 1950, on the ground of compromise between the parties. The parties are present before the court and, on examination, stand by their compromise and do not want the case to proceed further. 2. The gist of facts leading to the filing of the case is that the petitioner along with the other accused is said to have conspired and made a representation to the victims as if they invest a smaller amount, they will get a huge amount from abroad and in that regard also seems to have forged some of the documents purportedly issued by the Reserve Bank of India. It is not as if that only one victim alone is involved in this case, there are several victims and therefore, merely by compromising with one victim, the case cannot be quashed. Further, the matter relates to an economic offence and therefore, the role played by each of the petitioners and the total amount cheated etc., will all come out only in trial. 3.
In view thereof, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for the exercise of power to quash the case on compromise and as such, the Criminal https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
