Sundar, CJ) 17.06.2026 [1] When the captioned ‘Writ Petition’ (‘WP’ for the sake of convenience and brevity) was taken up, Mr. M. Rarry, learned senior advocate {instructed by Mr. Niraj Paonam (on the Video Conferencing platform) and Ms. M. Nikita (in the physical Court), learned counsel on record for writ petitioners} was before this Court (physical Court). [2] In the hearing today, it came to light that a technical error appears to have crept in inter-alia qua prayer. [3] Faced with the above situation, learned counsel on record i.e., Niraj Paonam and Ms. M. Nikita sought leave of this Court to withdraw the captioned WP and made a further plea to preserve all the rights and contentions of writ petitioners and/or any other similarly placed person/s to come to this Court by filing another writ petition afresh after making requisite course correction/s. [4] Considering the nature of the matter, facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of the technical error, this Court accedes to the afore-referred request of learned counsel on record for writ petitioners. To be noted, endorsement made by one of the learned counsel on record for writ petitioners in the case file as regards withdrawal is as follows: [5] In the light of the narrative thus far, captioned WP is disposed of as withdrawn/closed albeit with preservation of rights and contentions of writ petitioners and/or any other similarly placed person/s in the aforesaid manner.
