Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned Government's counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. 3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal in the stage of admission itself. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner had filed an application, seeking for survey and demarcation of the subject property. Though the online application was made as early as on 22.09.2025, it was not at all disposed of by the official respondents till date. Hence, this petition. 5. In reply, the learned Government's counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that in this case, a similar representation was filed by the petitioner prior to the aforesaid application. However, the same was https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26908 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 rejected, due to non-production of approval in respect of the layout at the subject property. Hence, he requests this Court to pass appropriate orders. 6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record. 7. In the case on hand, an application was filed by the petitioner seeking for survey and demarcation of the subject property. According to the respondents, a similar representation was filed by the petitioner prior to the said application. However, those representation was rejected by the officials, due to non-production of approval with regard to the layout of the subject property. 8. Normally, if the patta, pertaining to the subject property, is in the name of petitioner, it would be sufficient to consider any representation, filed for the purpose of conducting survey and demarcation of the property. No necessity would arise for production of approval for layout of the said property before the revenue authorities. 9. In this case, as per the revenue records, the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property, in which case, it is immaterial to consider the aspect as to whether the land is approved or not, while considering the application for survey and demarcation. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26908 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 5 10. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.09.2025 and after issuing notice to all the concerned parties, dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 11.
