Mr. Dheeraj Joshi, learned counsel for the complainant. 4. The instant petition has been moved by the petitioner Manjeet Singh for quashing of FIR dated 12.02.2026 bearing FIR No.0005 of 2026 registered at P.S. Badkot District Uttarkashi wherein respondent no. 3 implicated the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 66, 67(A) of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act read with Section 77 of BNS 2023. 5. The petition is supported with the compounding application with the affidavit of the petitioner and respondent no. 3 wherein it is contended that due to some misunderstand the FIR has been lodged and they, in fact, known to each other through instagram and respondent no. 3-complainant submits that she does not want to pursue with the impugned FIR since she has now settled the dispute. 6. The petitioner is present in Court and the respondent/complainant joined the proceeding through V.C. Both of them are identified by their respective counsel. 7. Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, learned A.G.A. submits that the offences are non compoundable but with the leave of the Court offence can be compounded. 8. After hearing the arguments of the learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the averment as made in the compounding application and the fact that respondent/complainant does not want to pursue with the impugned FIR, there, is no useful purpose to go with the investigation. 9. In such view of the matter compounding application and the writ petition are allowed. The FIR dated 12.02.2026 bearing FIR No. 0005 of 2026 registered at P.S.
