The petitioner has preferred this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking following relief(s):- BINI PRADEEP Digitally signed by BINI PRADEEP Date: 2026.03.30 11:09:13 +0530 2 10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus to respondents Nos. 2 to 4 to forthwith grant and disburse ex-gratia compensation to the petitioner as per Circular No. 02- 01/सामा./ ुत दु टना/8472 dated 04.03.2014 and Circular No. 02-01/सामा./ ुत दु टना/4262 dated 02.12.2016, along with interest at the rate of 9% per annum from the date of the incident i.e. 12.06.2025, till actual payment. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to award costs of the petition to the petitioner. 10.3 That, grant any other relief(s) as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the interest of justice. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Late Amrit Lal Manjare, aged about 35 years, was son of the petitioner. Amrit Lal Manjare died due to electrocution. Merg report was also recorded by the police of Police Chouki CIMS, PS City Kotwali, Bilaspur and in the postmortem report, cause of death of Amrit Lal Manjare has been reported that death was due to cardio- respiratory failure as a result of electrocution and its complication. Thus, death of Amrit Lal was unnatural. Therefore, the petitioner filed an application dated 10.10.2025 (Annexure-P/3) before respondent No.3, however, the same has not been decided yet. Hence, it is prayed that this petition may be disposed of directing respondent No.3 to decide the application dated 10.10.2025 (Annexure-P/3) filed by the petitioner for grant of ex-gratia to him within stipulated period. 3. Learned counsel for the State as well as counsel for respondents 2 to 4 submit that the application filed by the petitioner is under consideration and the same shall be decided expeditiously. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 3 5. Having considered the limited prayer of the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of at this stage, directing respondent No.3 to consider and decide the application dated 10.10.2025 (Annexure-P/3) filed by the petitioner, within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
