ORDER : S.SRIMATHY, J. The writ petition in W.P.(Crl.)(MD) No.2699 of 2026 is filed seeking a direction to the official respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct a temple festival from 05.05.2026 to 09.05.2026. The writ petition in W.P.(Crl.)(MD) No.2744 of 2026 is filed to consider the representation dated 01.05.2026 for taking necessary action against respondents 5 to 16 and others for their illegal and high- handed acts in the nature of ostracization of the petitioner and others from society, besides conducting the Chithirai Temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Madurai Veeran Swami, Sri Pattavan Swami, Sri Thekkamalayan Swami, and Sri Karuppasamy Temple, Aniyappur Village, Vaiyampatti Union, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District. 2. The said festival is celebrated for five days. The contention of the petitioner, namely Annadurai, is that the private respondents are restraining them from participating in the temple festival. In the earlier round of litigation, in W.P.(Crl.)(MD) No.2230 of 2026, this Court, vide order dated 21.04.2026, granted permission to conduct the festival along with Annadurai and others. The contention of the petitioner Annadurai is that, in spite of such order, the same was flouted. 3. Now, another petitioner, Vellaisamy, has also filed a writ petition in W.P.(Crl.)(MD) No.2699 of 2026, wherein he is also seeking permission and police protection to conduct the temple festival. Therefore, if the festival is conducted by including Annadurai and others, permission shall be granted. There cannot be any discrimination on the basis of caste or any other reason. 4. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the festival committee to collect the temple vari from all persons and conduct the festival in an inclusive manner. In case there is any discrimination or if the orders of the Court are not complied with or are flouted, severe action will be taken against persons flouting the orders. The police shall ensure law and order and also ensure that the above order is implemented in letter and spirit. 5. With the above directions, these writ petitions stand disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
