Virender Singh, Judge (Oral) By way of the present petition, the petitioner has called in question, order dated 20.12.2025, passed by the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge Kullu, District Kullu, H.P., and indulgence of this Court has been sought to extend the time to comply with the order dated 29.03.2025, passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge Kullu, District Kullu, H.P. 2. The admitted facts of the case, according to the learned Counsel appearing for the parties, are that the petitioner was convicted and sentenced by the Court of learned 1 Whether Reporters of local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? Yes. 2 2026:HHC:1756 Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lahaul & Spiti at Kullu, District Kullu, H.P., in a complaint filed under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, titled as ‘Union Bank of India Vs Rewat Ram’. 3. Against the said judgment of conviction and order of sentence, the petitioner Rewat Ram, had preferred the appeal before the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge Kullu, District Kullu, H.P. and his application for suspension of sentence has been allowed on 29.03.2025. 4. Admittedly, the said order has not been complied with, as such, he has moved the application for extension of time to comply with the said order. Those applications were initially allowed and time was extended to comply with the said order, however, he could not comply with the said order. Hence, his application for extension of time to comply with the order dated 29.03.2025, has been dismissed by learned Additional Sessions Judge Kullu, on 20.12.2025 and now, he is before this Court. 5. Considering the factual position, as mentioned in the application, the present petition is allowed, the petitioner is permitted to comply with the order dated 29.03.2025, within a period of eight weeks, from today, i.e. on or before 11.03.2026. 6.
