For the Respondents: Mr. Rajan Kahol and Mr. Vishal Panwar, Additional Advocate General with Mr. Ravi Chauhan and Mr. Anish Banshtu, Deputy Ad- vocates General. __________________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge (oral): Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, stated that peti- tioner’s case is squarely covered by decision rendered by a Division Bench of this Court, in Smt. Shakuntala Devi v. State of Himachal Pradesh and Ors., LPA No. 197 of 2023, decided on 6.12.2023 (Annexure P-3), and his client has already filed a representation, dated 27.3.2025 (Annexure P-6), which is pending, therefore, his client shall be content and satisfied, in case a direction is issued to respondent No.2/competent authority to consider and decide the pending representation (Annexure P-6) of the petitioner, in a time bound manner. 2. Notice. Mr. Rajan Kahol, learned Additional Advocate General ac- cepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He fairly states that the represen- tation filed by the petitioner shall be considered and decided expeditiously. 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? -2- 3. In view of the aforesaid, present petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2/competent authority to consider and decide the pending representation (Annexure P-6) in light of Shakuntala Devi supra, expedi- tiously, preferably within a period of four weeks, from today. Needless to say, authority concerned, while doing the needful in terms of this order, shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass a speaking order thereafter.
