JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. 2. Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed an application in Form No.57 on 18.05.2023 seeking regularization of unauthorized occupation as can be seen from Annexures "B" and "B1", which are copies of the applications. However, till date no - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11386 WP No. 6066 of 2026 orders have been passed on the applications filed by the petitioners. 3. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue writ of mandamus directing the respondent-authorities to consider the representation dated 10.12.2025 as per Annexure-"A" and consequently the applications at Annexures "B" and "B1" filed by the petitioners seeking regularization of unauthorized occupation of 3.20 acres and 5 acres respectively of lands in Sy.No.17 of Naraginakere village, Belaguthi Hobli, Nyamathi Taluk, Davanagere District. 4. Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition and submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.1 - Tahsildar was duty bound to place the applications filed by the petitioners before the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ and the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:11386 WP No. 6066 of 2026 Committee was also duty bound to consider the applications and pass necessary orders. 5. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.1 - Tahsildar, Nyamathi Taluk to verify from the records as to whether such applications in Form No.57 are filed by the petitioners on 18.05.2023, are pending consideration. If it is found that such applications were indeed filed by the petitioners and the applications are yet to be considered, the respondent-Tahsildar is directed to place the applications along with his recommendation before the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorised Occupation’, within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the applications and pass necessary orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of six months thereafter. 6.
