This Court, while entertaining this writ petition, vide order dated 23.06.2026 granted interim stay of the operation of the impugned proceedings and further directed the respondents to show the said post of B.T.Assistant (English) in the sixth respondent – School as vacant during the transfer counselling and the petitioner was granted liberty to participate in the said transfer counselling. 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.M.Dinesh Hari Sudarsan, learned counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents 1 to 6, submitted that the impugned proceedings dated 18.06.2026 has been cancelled by the fourth respondent vide proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.492/Aa1/2026, dated 01.07.2026 and hence, the relief sought in this writ petition has become practically infructuous. 5. However, the respondents are directed to show the post of B.T.Assistant (English) in the sixth respondent – School as vacant in the ensuing transfer counselling. 6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
