Murugesan Government Advocate (Crl. side) ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to conduct a survey of the petitioner's property and demarcate its four boundaries in Survey No.20/2, situated at East Ayakudi, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District, with the assistance of the 4th respondent, and consequently direct respondents 1 to 3 to furnish a copy of the survey report to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. The petitioner claims title to the property comprised in Survey 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD). No.19275 of 2026 No.20/2. The petitioner purchased the said property under a registered Sale Deed bearing Document No.2632 of 2020, dated 23.12.2020. The petitioner's vendor had purchased the property under Document No.641 of 1971. Pursuant to the purchase, the revenue records were mutated in favour of the petitioner, and Patta No.6964 was issued in the petitioner's name. 3. It is the case of the petitioner that the owners of the adjacent lands are disputing the boundaries of the subject property. Therefore, the petitioner seeks a direction to conduct a survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property. 4. In view of the above, the 1st respondent/Tahsildar is directed to issue notice to the petitioner as well as to the objectors/owners of the adjacent lands and conduct a survey of the subject property in accordance with law. If necessary, the 4th respondent shall provide adequate police protection to facilitate the survey. In the event the petitioner seeks to erect boundary stones, the same shall be carried out at the petitioner's 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD). No.19275 of 2026 cost. The Official Respondents shall also adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures: a) The Official respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey. b) After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction. c) If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by all the parties concerned. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
