The prayer of the petitioner for transfer stood rejected way back on 25th October, 2021 on the ground that the petitioner was a single subject teacher. The petitioner presses for transfer. 2. A prayer has been made to direct the respondent authorities to reconsider his application for transfer. 3. It appears that as the rejection of the petitioner’s application was made nearly four and a half years back. Page 2 There may be a change in the staff strength in the meantime. 4. Accordingly, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with the observation that it will be open for the petitioner to make fresh application offline seeking transfer in the prescribed format disclosing the ground for the same. 5. In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered by the Head of the Institution in accordance with the prevailing transfer rules and law laid down by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court on 31st July, 2025 in the matter of Rupak Guha Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors. [FMA 995 of 2025 with IA No.: CAN 1 of 2025]. A decision shall be taken at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of filing of the application. 6. Suspension of the Utsashree portal shall not stand in the way of the respondents in taking steps in terms of the order passed hereinabove. 7.
