Vivek Singh Thakur, Judge Petitioner has approached this Court against constitution of Regional Transport Authority with prayer for removal of Director Transport from the post of Chairman Regional Transport Authority, being unconstitutional and in violation of provisions of Motor Vehicle Act and rules framed there under and also consequential challenge has also been laid to the meeting held on 30.8.2023 and proceedings thereof. 2. The issue with respect to constitution of Regional Transport Authority has already been decided by this Division Bench vide judgment dated 11.3.2026 in CWP No. 13984 of 2025, titled as Anand Modgil Vs. 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the Judgment? Yes 2 2026:HHC:14694 CWP No. 8010 of 2023 State of H.P. and others, whereby constitution of Regional Transport Authority has been held illegal and invalid and stands quashed and set aside. 3. In view of above, present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy including assailing the decision or proceedings of meeting dated 30.8.2023 and other interconnected grievance by filing fresh petition, if so desired.
