Contents of joint memo reads as under: "That, both the petitioner and the respondent submits as follows: 1. It is submitted that, the petitioner challenged the judgment and order of conviction and sentence passed by the trial court. 2. It is submitted that, both the petitioner and the respondent have agreed to settle the matter amicably for a sum of Rs.2,25,000/- as against the conviction amount of Rs.4,05,000/-. 3. The remaining balance of Rs.50,000/- has paid, by way of cash. 4. It is further submitted that, in terms of the settlement the respondent have no objection to allow the above petition. WHEREFORE, it is prayed that, this Hon'ble Court be pleased to close the proceedings in terms of the joint memo, in the interest of justice and equity." 4.
