For Respondent(s): Mr.AR Balaji, GA for R.1 to R.4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 27132 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “directing the 1st to 4th respondents to consider petitioners representation dated 26.05.2026 and consequently sanction and disburse the family pension of the petitioner’s missing husband Mr.N.Muniratinam to the petitioner within a timebound period.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband, Thiru. N. Muniratinam, a retired Sub-Inspector of Police, has been missing since 05.04.2025, and a Man Missing case was registered in Crime No.125 of 2025 on 22.04.2025. Despite the efforts taken by the police authorities and the orders passed by this Court in H.C.P. No.410 of 2026, her husband could not be traced and continues to remain untraceable. Since more than one year has elapsed from the date of registration of the case, the petitioner is entitled to seek sanction of Family Pension in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.478, Finance (Pension) Department. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 26.05.2026 requesting the respondents to issue a Non-Traceable Certificate in respect of her husband and consequently sanction and disburse Family Pension along with indemnity bond. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records. By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the matter was taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 4. Considering the relief sought by the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
