2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused was in joint possession of 2.610 kg of Gnaja, 55 grams of methamphetamine and 45 LSD stamps. Hence the case. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was remanded to judicial custody on 07.06.2026. The total recovery in the case is 2.610 kilograms of ganja, 55 grams of methamphetamine, and 45 LSD blots equivalent to 0.08 grams. It is further submitted that the petitioner is a college student, has no connection with the alleged offence, and that no contraband was recovered from his conscious possession. He would submit that the petitioner is ready to abide any stringent conditions impose by this Court. Accordingly he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner. 4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side)appearing for the respondent police, strongly opposed the bail application and submitted that 1.50 kilograms of ganja was recovered from A1 along with 55 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of ganja was recovered from A2, 1.100 kilograms of ganja was recovered from the present petitioner (A3), and 45 LSD blots equivalent to 0.80 grams, constituting commercial quantity, were recovered from A4. It is further submitted that A6 and A7 are still absconding and that the investigation is at a nascent stage. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

Considering the fact that the case involves recovery of commercial quantity of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and that the investigation is still at a nascent stage, this Court is of the firm view that it is not desirable to consider the petitioner's request for bail at this stage. 6.
