The petitioner is an accused in connection with Birsa Nagar P.S. Case No. 99 of 2025, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Jamshedpur. It has been alleged that on a threat made by two unknown miscreants, the informant was forced to transfer an amount of Rs. 37,000/- to the account of Sourav Singh. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 07.12.2025. It has further been submitted that the amount was transferred to the account of Sourav Singh. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has been identified in the Test Identification Parade and subsequent to the transfer made by the informant to the account of Sourav Singh a major part of the said transaction was once again transferred to the account of the petitioner. Learned APP has also submitted that the petitioner had taken nude photographs of the informant in order to blackmail him. On consideration of the specific role of the petitioner, which has surfaced in course of investigation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby rejected at this stage.
