Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following reliefs:- “(a) to issue a writ of mandamus, appropriate writ, order or direction in nature thereof, directing the respondent department to either change Date of Next Increment (DNI) to 01.05.2015 or in the alternative to step up the pay of the petitioner by re-fixing the same and bring petitioner at par with incumbents appointed simultaneously from the date the petitioner is drawing lesser pay with all consequential benefits for all purposes and intents and pay arrears thereof alongwith interest thereon @18% pa; (b) to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in nature thereof to give full justice to the petitioners in the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:12855 circumstances of the case and may pass such further writ, order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, proper, just and expedient in the circumstances of the case;” 2. Short reply to the petition stands filed by the respondents and in terms thereof, it is mentioned that the case of the petitioner was re-examined and order dated 17.03.2026 has been passed, in terms whereof, the pay of the petitioner has been re- fixed as per Annexure R-2/1. 3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the backdrop of this development, these proceedings can be disposed of but with the observation that in case, the petitioner is still aggrieved by the said order, he may approach the Court afresh. Ordered accordingly. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of with liberty as prayed for. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand disposed of accordingly.
