Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. 3. Pursuant to the order dated 10.7.2026, the report of the Special Judge for the cases under the PC Act dated 16.7.2026 is placed before this Court. On carefully going through the same, this Court finds that there is appreciable progress in the case and that out of 65 witnesses, 43 witnesses were examined and one witness has been dispensed with on the side of the prosecution and the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CONT.P.No.98 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 remaining 21 witnesses are to be examined. In view of the same, the learned Special Judge has sought for five months’ time to dispose of the case. 4. This Court is satisfied with the report filed by the learned Special Judge. This Court grants six months’ time for the learned Special Judge to dispose of the case in C.C.No.2 of 2021. It is made clear that a compliance report shall be filed before this Court after the expiry of six months period. 5.
