This petition, styled as a ‘public interest litigation’, is filed seeking a direction upon the fourth respondent to demolish the unauthorised construction put up by the ninth respondent. 2. In view of the order to be passed in this petition, notice to the ninth respondent is dispensed with. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even though the ninth respondent has obtained permission from the planning authorities for construction of ground floor, first floor and second floor, unauthorisedly, he has put-up third floor and authorities have not taken any action against the ninth respondent, in spite of them making several representations. 4. Learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent has produced notice dated 10.07.2026 and submitted that already https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No.27833 of 2026 representation of the petitioner has been considered and the ninth respondent has been issued with a notice dated 10.07.2026, directing him to produce certain documents; and the Corporation will take further steps in accordance with law, thereafter. 5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Corporation to take further action in accordance with law, pursuant to the notice dated 10.07.2026 issued to the ninth respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
