At the very outset, Ms. Maha Majeed, learned Assisting Counsel appearing vice Mr. Mohsin Qadri, Sr. AAG, has submitted that out of 21 prosecution witnesses cited in the charge-sheet, 20 witnesses have already been examined and only one prosecution witness remains to be examined. 2. Faced with the aforesaid position, learned counsel for the appellant has very fairly submitted that the present appeal may be disposed of with a direction to the learned trial court to conclude the trial expeditiously. 3. Having regard to the submissions made and considering the fact that only one prosecution witness is yet to be examined, the present appeal is disposed of with a direction to the learned trial court to conclude the trial in charge sheet titled, UT of J&K vs. Bashir Ahmad Malik and Anr. arising out of FIR No. CrlA(D) No. 36/2025 Page 2 of 2 50/2022 registered with Police Station, Dooru for commission of offences under Sections 307, 324, 326 IPC, Section 7/27 of Arms Act and Sections 16, 18, 19, 20 & 39 ULA(P) Act as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from today and the trial court shall not grant unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. 4. Disposed of accordingly.
