Hence the complaint. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. He further submitted that the petitioner had only attempted to pacify the situation and did not assault the defacto complainant as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) opposed the petition and submitted that the petitioner is involved in two previous criminal cases. Considering the criminal antecedents of the petitioner and the nature of the allegations, he prayed for dismissal of the anticipatory bail petition. 5.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record. The allegation against the petitioner is that he, along with other accused, abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and assaulted him with a wooden log. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) has also submitted that the petitioner is involved in two previous criminal cases. This Court has considered the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record. It is seen that __________ Page2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 18948 of 2026 though the petitioner was earlier granted bail, he failed to comply with the conditions imposed by the Court. In such circumstances, the petitioner ought to have surrendered before the concerned Court and sought regular bail. Without doing so, he has filed the present anticipatory bail petition. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief of anticipatory bail. 6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 17-07-2026 JRS To 1.
