No. 74 of 2013 filed against the order passed in Na.Ka.No. A/ Tha.Ma.Va.A/ The. Nae- 66/ 557 /2011-1 dated 30.05.2013 based on the award passed in dated 2.12.2022 in proceeding no. Na.Ka.No. M1/ 37112/ 2015 in the petitioners representation dated 15.09.2025 within a particular time frame fixed by this court. For Petitioner(s): Mr.M.Selvam For Respondent(s): Mr.C.Prabakaran, Government Counsel for R2 to R4 Mr.Su.Srinivasan, Senior Panel Counsel for R1 Order This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the Arbitration proceedings in Ar.O.P. No. 74 of 2013. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the late Arumugam was the absolute owner of the properties comprised in S.F.No. 161/14A2, measuring an extent of 498 sq.m., and S.F.No. 161/13A2, measuring an extent of 73 sq.m. The 1st petitioner is the wife of the said Arumugam, and petitioners 2 to 4 are their children. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

3. While things stood thus, the 3rd respondent acquired the aforesaid properties for the purpose of the expansion of a toll plaza and road for the National Highway, and subsequently passed an award. Dissatisfied with the award amount, the petitioners preferred an appeal vide Arbitration Proceedings Nos.
70 to 90/2013 before the 2nd respondent, seeking an enhancement of compensation. Since the arbitration proceedings have been kept pending without any progress, the petitioners have approached this Court with the present Writ Petition

In reply, Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 to 4 would submit that the petitioner’s appeal dated 30.05.2013 will be disposed of by the 2nd respondent within a period of eight weeks. 5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 6. In view of the above, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s appeal dated 30.05.2013 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
