THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: THE HON'BLE MRS JUSTICE K.S.HEMALEKHA - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC-D:500 WP No. 100315 of 2026 ORAL ORDER The petitioners’ claim to the legal representatives of late Krishnappa son of Gangappa Dalawai. It is their case that the Land Tribunal, Bagalkot, by order dated 28.11.1975 (Annexure- A), re-granted land bearing Sy.No.16/1F, measuring to an extent of 7 acres 24 guntas situated at Kaladgi, Hobli, Semikeri village, Bagalkot District in favour of their grandfather. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, notwithstanding the said re-grant order, the extent of land reflected in the revenue records is erroneously shown as 1 acre 20 guntas instead of 7 acres 24 guntas. It is contended that the petitioners have submitted representations, requesting implementation of re-grant order and correction of the revenue entries, but the same have not been considered by the competent authority. 3. Learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for respondents-State submits that the representation submitted would be considered in accordance with law within a reasonable time. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC-D:500 WP No. 100315 of 2026 4. Having regard to the limited grievance raised and submission made by learned Additional Government Advocate, this Court is of view that the ends of justice would be met by directing the competent authority to consider the petitioner representation in light of the re-grant order passed by the land Tribunal. 5. Accordingly, this Court pass the following: ORDER i. The writ petition is disposed of. ii. Respondents are directed to consider the petitioners’ representation dated 26.12.2025 (Annexure-E) keeping in view the re-grant order dated 28.11.1975 (Annexure-A) and pass appropriate order, in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
