Pudur Village, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District to the petitioner as provided u/s 48-B of the Land Acquisition (Tamil Nadu Amendment ) Act 1996 as per the representation of the Petitioners dated 22.06.2026 and 03.07.2009 in the light of the order passed in W.P.No.21939 of 2009 dated 27.10.2009. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioners are the legal heirs of the deceased A. Abbas, who was the owner of the lands situated in S.F.No. 173/2, A.K. Pudur Village, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District, measuring an extent of 2.50 ares. While things stood thus, the respondents proposed to acquire the aforementioned lands, along with adjoining properties, for the purpose of constructing houses for the Adi Dravidar community, and an award was subsequently passed. 3. Since no proper enquiry was conducted, the petitioners' father filed W.P.No. 6565/1995, which was dismissed. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners' father filed W.A.No. 2205/2001, which was also dismissed, with a direction enabling the petitioners' father to file an application under Section 48- B of the Land Acquisition (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 1996. Accordingly, the petitioners' father submitted a representation to the 1st respondent on 03.07.2009. 4. Subsequently, the petitioners' father passed away. On 22.06.2026, the petitioners sent a fresh representation to the 1st respondent, highlighting the non-consideration of their late father’s representation dated 03.07.2009. In reply, Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned Government Counsel who takes notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 22.06.2026 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of eight weeks. 6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 7. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners’ representation dated 22.06.2026 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the all the petitioners. 8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
