For Petitioner: Mr.B.R.Sivasubramaniam For Respondents: Mr.R.Ganesh Kumar Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Crl.Side) ORDER This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the 5th respondent to pass final orders or take a decision pursuant to the peace committee meeting held on 13.06.2026 in respect of conducting the “Veedhi Ula” at Amman Nagar and Pallikoodatheru, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. It is seen from the records that there is a dispute between the petitioner and other administrators of the Amman Nagar Siddhi Vinayagar Temple. Owing to the said dispute, the Veedhi Ula of the said temple is not being taken through the petitioner’s street. In this regard, the fifth respondent convened a peace committee meeting, wherein both the parties participated and agreed to resolve the issue amicably. In view of the above, there is a civil dispute. Therefore, the petitioner ought to have approached the Civil Court for appropriate relief. The fifth respondent cannot compel the counter parties to attend peace committee meeting. However, if any offence is committed by the petitioner or the counter parties, the sixth respondent is directed to take appropriate action against the person, who committed such offence. 5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of .
