Side) for R1 1 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 19182 of 2026 ORDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed with a prayer to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.480 of 2023, registered for the offence under Section 8(c) read with Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 2. It is stated that the petitioner was found to be in possession of 4.5 kgs of ganja in his car. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case is a put up case and in spite of the direction given in earlier Crl.O.P.No.5679 of 2026, till date, a final report is also not filed and the petitioner is suffering. 4. In reply thereof, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the direction was given on 05.03.2026 to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months. The investigation is complete and the final report will be filed within 10 working days from today. 5. In view thereof, the grievance with reference to pendency is redressed.
