Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. The petitioner has come up in the present writ petition with a sole prayer that a direction be issued to the respondent no.2-Chairman/Principal Secretary, State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, U.P. Government Lucknow to decide the Appeal of the petitioner dated 16.07.2021 in pursuance of Government Order dated 05.01.1996 pending before him expeditiously within a time bound period. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction may be issued to respondent no.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, we dispose off the writ petition with a direction to the respondent no.2-Chairman/Principal Secretary, State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, U.P. Government Lucknow to decide the Appeal of the petitioner dated 16.07.2021 in pursuance of Government Order dated 05.01.1996 pending before him expeditiously, preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
