GP for R.1 and R.2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26926 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “directing the respondents to take appropriate administrative action to issue pension payment order and settle all the retirement benefits to the petitioner such as Monthly pension, Pension Arrears, Gratuity, commutation of pension etc.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a Primary School Teacher on 01.02.1998 and was subsequently promoted as a Trained Graduate Teacher on 09.11.2011 in Shri Hindocha Charitable Trust Government Aided High School, Ariyur, Puducherry, under the Grant-in-Aid Scheme of the Government of Puducherry. After rendering 27 years of regular qualifying service, the petitioner attained the age of superannuation and was permitted to retire from service on 31.07.2025, and was relieved from service with effect from the afternoon of the said date. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to pension and other retirement benefits from 01.08.2025. However, the respondents have failed to issue the Pension Payment Order (PPO) and have not disbursed the pension, pension arrears, gratuity, commutation of pension and other retirement benefits till date. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 27.04.2026 seeking settlement of his retirement benefits. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records. By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the matter was taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 4. Considering the relief sought by the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 27.04.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
