It is the contention of the petitioner that the Committee for regularization of unauthorized occupation considered the application filed by the petitioner's husband, late Sri.V.M.Bellachar and passed a resolution on 26.12.2003 resolving to grant 14 guntas of land in Sy.No.301 of Vidyaranyapura Village, Sringeri Taluk, to the petitioner's husband. However, till date, the saguvali chit has not been issued, and the name of the petitioner's husband was not entered in the revenue records. The prayer, therefore, is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.11.2025 at Annexure-D given by the petitioner. 3. Having regard to the contentions raised by the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Sringeri Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such an application was filed by the petitioner's husband and whether the Committee has passed a resolution on 26.12.2003 resolving to grant 14 guntas of land in favour of the petitioner's husband. If the said facts are true, then the Tahsildar shall inform the petitioner regarding the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:3531 WP No. 38577 of 2025 payment of kimmath, collect the same and thereafter, proceed to issue saguvali chit in favour of the petitioner's husband. Thereafter, the Tahsildar shall issue notice to all concerned and only then proceed to enter the name of the petitioner and all the other legal heirs, if any, of late Sri.K.V.Bellachar in the revenue records in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
