Mr. Subhayan Barik Ms. Ananya Mondal Ms. Manishka Dhar Mr. Murari Mohan Ganguly …for the petitioner Mr. Jahar Lal De, Sr. Adv. AGP Mr. Sudipto Panda …for the State 1. The petitioner seeks compassionate appointment. 2. The Director of Health Services by a reasoned order dated November 4, 2025 directed the Compassionate Ground Cell to process the prayer of the petitioner for compassionate appointment as she has been found eligible for the same subject to fulfilment of other rules. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for a direction upon the respondents to take further necessary steps in the matter. 4. As it appears that the Director of Health Services has already found the petitioner eligible for compassionate appointment, accordingly, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the fifth respondent – the In-Charge of Compassionate Ground Cell, Director of Health Services, West Bengal – to take further necessary steps in furtherance to the reasoned order passed by the Director of Health Services on November 4, 2025 without any further delay. 5. The fate of the petitioner’s application shall be made known to her positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 7. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties. [Amrita Sinha, J] 2
