...for the applicant in CAN 1 of 2026
Mr. Swapan Kumar Dutta, G.P.,

Ms. Sanchayita Dey
....for the State
The habeas corpus writ petition along with the connected application are taken up for hearing. Petitioner complains that his daughter and the grand-daughter are missing. The missing daughter is represented by an advocate. CAN 1 of 2026 is at the behest of such missing daughter. Report submitted on behalf of the State be taken on record.
2 Materials on record suggest that the missing daughter is an adult. She left the house of the petitioner voluntarily. Grand-daughter of the petitioner is the daughter of the missing daughter. They are staying together. Presently, the missing daughter as mother is the natural guardian of grand-daughter of the petitioner. In such circumstances, no further order need be passed in either the writ petition for habeas corpus or the interim application made therein. WPA (H)/106/2025 and the connected application being CAN 1 of 2026 are disposed of without any order as to costs.
