That the Petitioner/Accused has filed the present Criminal Petition under Section 528 of BNSS, Act seeking quashing of the aforesaid charge sheet & proceedings, which is presently pending before this Hon'ble Court. 3. That during the pendency of the above Criminal Petition, with the intervention of elders, well-wishers and mediators, the parties have amicably settled all their disputes out of their own free will, without any coercion, pressure or undue influence from any quarter. 4. That the dispute between the parties was purely personal in nature arising out of misunderstanding and differences, and the continuation of criminal proceedings would only result in unnecessary hardship to both parties and would serve no useful purpose. 5. voluntarily and consciously, knowing fully well the consequences of the same. 7.
That the offences alleged, though including non-compoundable sections, are private in nature and do not have any serious impact on society at large, and this Hon'ble Court is empowered under Section 528 of BNSS to quash the proceedings in view of the settlement, in the interest of justice, equity and harmony. That if the criminal proceedings are not quashed, the compromise arrived at between the parties would be rendered meaningless and would lead to abuse of the process of law. WHEREFORE, the Petitioner/Accused and Respondent No.2/De-facto Complainant jointly pray that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to: a) Record the compromise arrived at between the parties. b) Allow the Criminal Petition. c) Quash the charge sheet/proceedings in Crime No.240/2016 of Rajarajeshwari Nagara Police Station, pending as C.C. No. 15168/2017 on the file of 46th Addl. CJM at Bengaluru for the offences punishable under Sections 354, 420, 504 and 506 IPC, in the interest of justice."
2. Respondent No.2 has specifically admitted the terms of the compromise and submits that she has no objection to allow the criminal petition and to quash the proceedings initiated against the petitioner. - 5 -

4. In view of the above, memorandum of compromise petition is accepted.
