JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER It is the contention of the petitioners that pursuant to the amendment brought to the Mysore Religious and Charitable Inams Abolition Act, 1956, the period for filing the application was extended by one year and accordingly written instructions dated 15.10.2022 at Annexure-C was issued by the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department to all the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that the applications filed before the competent authorities shall be considered and disposed of expeditiously. Learned counsel submits that the petitioners have filed applications at Annexure-A series during January, 2023. However, the applications have not been considered and disposed of till date. Therefore, the prayer in the writ petition is to direct - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:6513 WP No. 37065 of 2025 the 3rd respondent - Special Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District, who is the competent authority, to consider and dispose of the applications within a time frame. 2. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent or any other competent authority, which is empowered to consider the applications, to consider the applications and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
