Upon perusal of the FIR and the material collected during the investigation and the final report, the allegation against the petitioner and the other persons is that they all joined together and protested, condemning the arrest of a political party leader without any permission. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that all the four offences mentioned in the final report, including offences under Sections 290, 291, 341 & 143 read with the aforesaid offences will be non-cognizable and therefore, the police ought not to have registered the case and filed final report. 4. I also heard the learned Government Counsel (Crl. Side) even otherwise on a careful perusal of the materials, it can be seen that there was no intention to commit any criminal offences and it was nothing but exercise of expression of their democratic right to protest. 5. In view thereof and considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Crl.O.P.No.18515 of 2026 stands allowed. The final report and all further proceedings in STC.No.1253 of 2025 is quashed in its entirety. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 15-07-2026 Neutral Citation: No KKN https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 18515 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 To 1.
