This Court, vide order dated 20.09.2024 passed in MCRC No. 5799 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Susmita Sahani and Hamenti Sahani, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 date of receipt of a certi<ed copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 20.09.2024. 4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Saraipali District- Mahasamund (C.G.) vide her request letter dated 02.01.2026 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the case is <xed for securing the presence of the accused. The accused is a resident of District Boudh, Odisha. A warrant of arrest had been issued against the accused to secure her presence, however, due to her continued absence, further proceedings in the case could not be carried out within the prescribed time limit. Due to the non-appearance of the accused, it is most respectfully submitted that after securing her presence, further proceedings shall be undertaken and the case shall be disposed of expeditiously. It is, therefore, prayed that the request be allowed and an additional period of four months be graciously granted. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o5 with the aforesaid direction. 8.
