The mother of M.Muthu Priyadharshini (detenue) D/o Manikandan, is before this Court alleging that R3 has abducted her daughter and fearing for her life and safety. 2. Notice was issued when the matter was listed for admission, and today all the parties appear. 3. We have interacted with R3 and the detenue, who claim to have married each other on 2.7.2026 (marriage certificate dated 2.7.2026 produced). The detenue’s DOB is 3.8.2004 and she is 21 years as on date. R3’s DOB is 10.04.1987 and no proof is produced. 4. On our interactions with the two of them, we find both categoric that they want to pursue their life together. The petitioner is present in Court and voices her concern regarding the future of the detenue, particularly in regard to the psychological, psychiatric ailments for which detenue has been availing treatment. 5. When this point was put to R3 and the detenue, they were initially https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis HCP No. 1247 of 2026 __________ reluctant to accede, suggesting that there was no ailment at all. However, the Court has impressed on them necessity for the petitioner to take treatment where necessary, and to be regular as far the medication is concerned. 6. We have also conveyed this to the petitioner, who is present in the Court, to allay her apprehensions. We fondly hope that the petitioner on the one hand and R3 and detenue on the other, will stay in touch in order that the family members have the support of each other going forward. 7. The detenue states that some of her personal effects, including books and certificates, are in her mother’s house. On conclusion of this clearing, the parties will proceed to the house of the petitioner (she states that she has recently shifted residence), accompanied by Ms.Priyanka, Police Constable, T13, Chitlapakkam Police Station. This is to enable the detenue to collect her personal effects, books etc., from her mother’s house. 8. With this narration, and as nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this petition, we close this habeas corpus petition. No costs. 9.
