The petitioner joined the respondent corporation as a Conductor in the year 1998. He retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.05.2025. 3. The petitioner would submit that periodical surrender of earned leave for encashment for 15 days for every year / 30 days for every 2 years have been suspended for a period of one year w.e.f., 27.04.2020. Thereafter, the same has been restored w.e.f., 01.10.2025 vide GO.Ms.No.35, Human Resources (FR-III) Department, dated 30.06.2025. 4. The petitioner made a representation on 18.06.2026 requesting the respondents to settle wages for 90 days of earned leave surrender, however, the same was not considered. In a similar case in WP.(MD).No.14960 of 2026, the Madurai Bench of this Court had directed the respondent corporation to permit the petitioner to encash the earned leave available to his credit and disburse the amount payable together with interest at 6% per annum from the date of superannuation till the date of realisation. 7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the orders passed in (MD).No.14960 of 2026, a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation in tune with the order passed in WP.(MD).No.14960 of 2026 dated 05.06.2026 and pass orders, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 8. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
