(2) According to petitioners, they served as Junior Engineer on contract in Public Works Department for nearly nine years, however they were disengaged from service on 28.1.2022. In this writ petition, petitioners have sought a direction to include their name in a list, which has to be prepared in terms of the judgment rendered by Division Bench of this Court. (3) It is contended that petitioners remained out of employment for three years and five months on account of pendency of enquiry proceedings, in which they were ultimately exonerated; therefore, they are entitled to be included in the above referred list. (4) Learned State Counsel submits that petitioners have sought a writ of mandamus, therefore they can approach the competent authority, highlighting their grievance. (5) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of granting liberty to petitioners to make representation to the competent authority highlighting their grievance. If they make such representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within ten weeks thereafter.
