C.R.M. (NDPS) 76 of 2026
In Re: An application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with New Township Police Station Case No.81 of 2025 dated 08.06.2025 under Section 21(c)/25/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985;
Praveen Kumar @ Pravin Kumar Versus The State of West Bengal
Mr. Jaydeep Biswas Mr. Asraf Mondal Mr. Kaushik Ghosh. …for the petitioner.
Mr. Antarikhya Basu Ms. Pallavi Priyadarshee. …for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case for alleged recovery of 7,500 bottles of phensedyl and he is in custody since 9th September, 2025.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are call data records connecting the petitioner with the principal accused. It has also been pointed out that the bail prayer of other co-accused was rejected by this Court.
Having considered the quantum of recovery which is the subject matter of the case, the period of detention and the CDR, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
