It is the contention of the petitioner that he has been an unauthorised cultivation of 2 acres of land in Survey No.213/1P4 situated at Heggala Village, Virajpet Hobli, Virajpet Taluk, Kodagu District from the year 1995-96. Earlier the petitioner had filed an application seeking grant of land on the ground that the petitioner is an army personnel. However, subsequently the petitioner has filed an application in Form No.52 on 25.08.2025 seeking regularisation of unauthorised - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:4692 WP No. 35705 of 2025 occupation of the said lands. The petitioner has also given representations including the representation dated 25.08.2025. 3. The prayer in the petition is to issue necessary directions to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Virajpet Taluk, to consider the application filed by the petitioner and pass necessary orders. 4. Having regard to the contentions raised by the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of, with a specific direction to respondent No.2-Tahsildar, Virajpet Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether an application filed by the petitioner in Form No.52 in the year 2025 is pending consideration. If it is found that an application was indeed filed by the petitioner and the application is yet to be considered, the Tahsildar is directed to place before the Committee for regularisation of unauthorised occupation, the application along with his recommendation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the application and pass necessary orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:4692 WP No. 35705 of 2025 Ordered accordingly.
