2. Learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submits that the online case status on the website of the DRT shows that the case is posted today (17.07.2026). 3. Admittedly, the petitioners have not filed the order sheets pertaining to S.A.No.347 of 2024. Any direction to expedite a specific case out of turn would disrupt the board of the Tribunal. The petitioners have failed to demonstrate any exceptional circumstance that distinguishes their case from other litigants waiting in queue before the Tribunal. The Tribunal should prioritize cases based on their seniority, nature of urgency and statutory mandate. It is empowered to regulate its procedure and accelerate hearings if a genuine case of urgency is made out. Issuing blanket direction for quick disposal would put undue pressure on the Tribunal and, consequently, the persons who approached the Tribunal earlier would be left at a disadvantaged position. 4. We are, therefore, not inclined to give such a direction to decide the case within a time frame. However, the petitioners would be at liberty to file appropriate application before the Tribunal to ______________ https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

As far as the prayer to permit the petitioners to deposit a sum of Rs.64.00 lakhs in S.A.No.347 of 2024 on the file of the Debts Recovery Tribunal, Coimbatore is concerned, the same is rejected. 6. With the liberty aforesaid, the writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.6807 of 2026 filed to permit the petitioners to file a single writ petition is allowed, subject to payment of separate court-fee within a period two weeks.
