By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2. The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to pass orders on the appeal dated 26.12.2025 preferred by petitioner and direct the respondents to issue regular passport to petitioner with 10 years validity at earliest. 3. At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that he does not have instructions as to whether any appeal has been filed by petitioner. He would submit that if any appeal is stated to be pending, the same would be disposed of within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 4. In view of the above submission, the respondents shall entertain, admit and dispose of the appeal, if so stated to be pending, on or before 31.07.2026, after issuing notice to petitioner and shall be decided on merits and in accordance with law.
