2026:JHHC:8060 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 2298 of 2026 ------ Raju Ansari .... .... …. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand .... .... .... Opp. Party CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY For the Petitioner : Mr. Binod Singh, Advocate For the State : Ms. Ruby Pandey, A.P.P. ------ Order No.02 / Dated : 23.03.2026 Heard Mr. Binod Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. The petitioner is an accused in connection with S.T. No.48 of 2024 arising out of Ramgarh P.S. Case No. 253 of 2023 corresponding to G. R. No. 156 of 2024 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Ramgarh. Petitioner is alleged to have committed the murder of his wife. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that six witnesses have been examined by the prosecution and none have supported the case of the prosecution. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is in custody since 10.11.2023. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the fact that out of ten charge sheet witnesses, six witnesses have already been examined and the trial is at its fag end, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby rejected at this stage.
